AS2 Professional

AS2 Professional is the software needed to build low cost Flight Navigation Procedures Trainers (FNPT according to JAA requirements) or Flight Training Devices (FTD according to FAA specifications), optimally being used in Multi Crew Cooperation Training, pilot preselection, Clockwork to EFIS cockpit transition training and generic procedures trainer. Existing systems are being used for human factors research as well as research of man-machine interface, Pilot's Preselection, Crew Cooperation Training, Airline Procedure Training and initial aircraft familiarisation.

AS2 Pro includes everything of AS2 and features following more:

external low cost visual (AS2 visuals), allowing up to 360 degrees view using networked PCs (45 degrees of view per channel), frame rate 36 fps
High performance external visual system available in first quarter of 1999, expected fps better than 36 (60 degrees of view per channel possible, configurable)
external full screen instrument displays for EFIS instruments
Analog authentic gauges connectable via EPIC
Complete Systems simulation for Multi Crew Cooperation Training
"Black Box" recording of all flight data (sampling 18.2 or 36 Hz)
Playback of entire flight with all relevant data displayed and fed back to systems
ASCII Interface for all flight data for further evaluation
Full networking capabilities with other AS2 Pro Systems, allowing multiple aircraft interacting in the airspace with proper Transponder responses (TCAS), up to 16 aircraft can be linked and seen on one map display enabling a real ATC environment
External Instructor Station controlling all AS2 Pro Systems linked
External Map Display showing positions and transponder targets (as on an ATC screen) of all linked AS2 Pro Systems
Full range of failures applicable through instructor station individually for each Aircraft
